A bit off the subject . . .
I'm putting Web 2.0 aside for a brief moment to congratulate my daughter, Kelby, on her recent graduation with honors from Northwestern!! Vanessa, deja vu wouldn't you say? Suffice it to say we're very proud of her! CHEERS!!
I thought you might get a kick out seeing this. Go WILDCATS! Interestingly, Kelby is knee deep in Facebook, uses Twitter although she keeps her Tweets private, and used a wiki at NU to catalog her theatre and playwriting work.
Wow, times have changed. When I was there I thought I was all cutting edge because I had email (graduated in '92) and did an art installation using Hypercard.
She's an Artist in Residence at Episcopal High School this fall her in Jax teaching a small cadre playwriting as well as producing and directing Shakespeare's "As You Like It". She's going to take the time breath deep and assess what her move beyond the fall is. I'm hopeful she'll consider FSU's Writing for Film and Stage MFA as I feel she's such a talented writer and should feed that fire - however that's her call. We'll see . . .
Hail to purple, hail to white, hail to thee, Northwestern!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! (And they wear purple robes at graduation now? Really? I had a plain black bat cape.)
